MAR. 6: Happy birthday to Mary Wilson, born today in 1944 in Greenville, Mississippi! 🎂🎤 She was a founding member and the longest member of The Supremes. After she left the group in 1977, they disbanded. Since then she has continued to perform and is also a musician’s rights activist. In 1988, she and her former group The Supremes were inducted the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

MAR. 3Today in 1982, the J Geils Band was at #1 with “Centerfold”. It would stay at the top for 6 weeks! The song was helped by the newly founded MTV, as the video was played in heavy rotation throughout 1981 and 1982.
