2024 Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

Did your favorites get in? The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has announced their 2024 Inductees. Performer inductees are Mary J Blige, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & The Gang, Ozzy Osbourne, and A Tribe Called Quest. The "Musical Excellence Awards" this time around will go to Jimmy Buffett, the MC5, Dionne Warwick, and producer/songwriter Norman Whitfield. To be eligible for nomination, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. MusicGoldmine.com recently acquired a stellar collection of ZZ Top awards, all presented to and personally owned by late ZZ Top bassist, co-lead vocalist, keyboardist, and songwriter Joe Michael "Dusty" Hill. Hill founded the group with bandmates Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard in 1968 and played an integral part in the group's recordings and live performances for over 50 years until his passing in 2021. The 36th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place this fall in Cleveland, Ohio and today the organization announced their 2021 Inductees who are, (drum roll please...): Clarence Avant, Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s, Jay-Z, Carole King, Kraftwerk, LL Cool J, Charlie Patton, Billy Preston, Randy Rhoads, Todd Rundgren, Gil Scott-Heron and Tina Turner.
