2026 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Inductees Announced

The 2026 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees were announced earlier today, and this year's group includes Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan.

In addition, Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, and Gram Parsons are being recognized with the Early Influence Award, while Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller, and Rick Rubin will receive the Musical Excellence Award. Finally, Ed Sullivan will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

The induction ceremony takes place on November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on ABC and Disney+ in December.

Those nominated who will not be inducted this time around include The Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Mariah Carey, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, INXS, New Edition, P!NK, and Shakira.

The basic requirement to be inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is that an individual artist or group must have released its first commercial recording a minimum of 25 years before the year of nomination. Inductees are voted in by the Hall’s 1,200 voting members, who are artists, historians and members of the music industry.

Snubs remain though, with many fans are disappointed that influential artists such as Alice In Chains, Boston, Jethro Tull, King Crimson, Motörhead, Phish, Pixies, Diana Ross, The Smiths, Sonic Youth, Styx, and Sweet have not been recognized.
