JULY 29: Sadly, today in 1974 Cass Elliot passed away in her sleep from heart failure at age 32. She may be best known for her time with the Mamas & the Papas. Elliot also enjoyed a successful solo career after the band broke up. RIP 😢
AUG 1: Today in 1981, MTV was launched! The VJs became household names and many bands broke through in the US due to the video format. Who remembers seeing MTV for the first time?🙋🏻♀️
