AUG 5: Today in 1957, American Bandstand debuted nationally. Already a popular East Coast regional show, the show became a staple for teenage viewers across America until the show ended in 1989. Dick Clark hosted from 1956 until 1989!

AUG 8: Today in 1969, one of the most iconic album cover photos was shot when the Beatles and photographer, Iain McMillan, shot the Abbey Road cover!
