Latest Top 10 RIAA All-Time: Rumours Rises

Fleetwood Mac's masterpiece Rumours has finally cracked the top 10. Cracked, literally, since it has finally overtaken Hootie & The Blowfish's clearly popular album Cracked Rear View, which held the tenth spot on the RIAA's top selling albums list for many years. The list only tallies sales made in the USA. In other moves at this point heading into mid-2024, the venerable Garth Brooks (who has the most RIAA Diamond Awards, for 10 million copies sold, ever issued) moved up a spot to #8 with his Double Live album, displacing Pink Floyd opus The Wall, which swapped spots to #9. Latest RIAA Top 10 All-Time: Zeppelin Ascends

Over the last year the best performer on the RIAA’s all-time U.S. best-selling album sales chart was Led Zeppelin IV, moving up two spots to #5 while passing the Beatles "white album" and Billy Joel’s Greatest Hits Vol I & II. Meanwhile the Beatles "white album" also made a move, pipping Joel by one spot to move up to #6.  The major move up the chart made last year by AC/DC’s venerable Back In Black remains intact, however, keeping them at #4 and the Eagles still hold the top spot. Latest RIAA Top 10 Sales All-Time: AC/DC Rising

Since announcing in the past year that the the Beatles infamous White Album had been certified 24x Multi-Platinum -- moving it into fourth spot on its all-time sales list past Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Volume I & Volume I -- Aussie hard rock veterans AC/DC have now taken spot #4 from the Fab Four with their 1980 release Back In Black. Clocking in at 25 million copies, the hard-hitting rock masterpiece just keeps on selling no doubt in part fueled by nostalgia after the tragic early passing of founding brother Malcolm Young in late 2017.
