Just a couple of highlights from this week in music history!

Buddy Holly

OCT 15: On this day in 1955, an unknown Buddy Holly performing as Buddy & Bob opened for Elvis Presley in Lubbock, Texas. A Nashville talent scout was in the audience and arranged for Holly to audition and record demos for Decca.

Steve Lukather Toto

OCT 21: Happy birthday to Steve Lukather from Toto, born today in 1957! Lukather has led Toto since forming the band in 1976 and has been the sole continuous member. In addition to his work with Toto, he has been a prolific session musician recording over 1,500 tracks. Photo courtesy: Weatherman90 [https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/deed.en]
