The week in music history brought to you by MusicGoldmine.com.

Just a couple of highlights from this week in music history!

MAY 26: Happy birthday to Stevie Nicks, born today in 1948 in Phoenix, AZ!🎂🎤 In 1975, she along with her then boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac. While still in the band, Nicks pursued a solo career in the early 80s with much success. She is the only woman to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice!

MAY 28: Happy birthday to Gladys Knight, born today in 1944!🎂🎤 At age 7, she won Ted Mack’s The Original Amateur Hour. That same year she along with her brother, sister, and cousins formed The Pips. Knight would go on to win 7 Grammys for both her solo work and with The Pips. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with The Pips.
