MAR 15: Happy birthday to Bret Michaels! The singer, songwriter, and musician is best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Poison. Born on March 15, 1963, in Butler, Pennsylvania, he helped Poison rise to fame in the 1980s with hits like Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Talk Dirty to Me, and Nothin’ but a Good Time. Michaels also pursued a successful solo career, blending rock and country influences.

Beyond music, he gained fame on reality TV, starring in Rock of Love with Bret Michaels and winning The Celebrity Apprentice 3. A lifelong diabetic, he advocates for diabetes awareness and has faced serious health challenges, including a brain hemorrhage in 2010. Michaels remains active in music and philanthropy, inspiring fans with his resilience and passion. His energy, signature bandana, and charismatic stage presence make him a lasting rock icon.

MAR 22: Happy birthday to George Benson! The jazz guitarist, singer, and songwriter is known for his smooth blend of jazz, R&B, and pop. Born on March 22, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he began his career as a child prodigy, recording his first single at age 10. By the 1960s, he had gained recognition as a jazz guitarist, collaborating with legends like Miles Davis.

Benson’s breakthrough came in the mid-1970s with his album Breezin’ (1976), featuring the Grammy-winning hit "This Masquerade." His signature guitar playing, combined with his soulful voice and scat singing, helped him cross over to mainstream success. Hits like "Give Me the Night" and "Turn Your Love Around" cemented his place in music history.

With a career spanning over six decades, Benson has won multiple Grammy Awards and continues to influence musicians worldwide. His innovative approach and timeless sound make him one of jazz’s greatest icons.
