JULY 5 - Happy Birthday to Huey Lewis!
Few artists capture the upbeat, feel-good spirit of 1980s rock quite like Huey Lewis. As the powerhouse voice behind Huey Lewis and the News, he helped create a string of unforgettable hits that still light up radios, playlists, and dance floors today. From “The Power of Love” and “Hip to Be Square” to “Heart and Soul,” “If This Is It,” and “Stuck with You,” his songs blended rock, pop, soul, and a whole lot of personality.
Huey’s warm vocals, sharp sense of humor, and everyman charisma made him one of the decade’s most relatable stars. Even when he was singing about love, work, or everyday life, he made it sound like the biggest party in town.
