Tears for Fears Shout 45 sleeve

AUG 1: Today in 1985, Tears for Fears was at #1 with "Shout", their second U.S. number one! It would stay there for three weeks and became one of the standout songs of 1985.

Jerry Garcia

AUG 9: Today in 1995, legendary frontman Jerry Garcia of the rock band Grateful Dead died from a heart attack at age 53. Garcia was one of the founding members and performed with the band from their 1965 beginning until his passing in 1995.
