The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has announced their 2022 Inductees. Performer inductees are Pat Benatar and Neil Geraldo, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon. The "Musical Excellence" category includes Judas Priest and producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
The "Early Influence" category included Harry Belefonte and Elizabeth Cotten, while music execs Allen Grubman, Jimmy Iovine and Sylvia Robinson also get nods with Ahmet Ertegun awards.
To be eligible for nomination, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. Inductees on the ballot for the first time were Eminem, Duran Duran, Dolly Parton, and Carly Simon.
The Inductees will be celebrated in at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles later this year on November 5 and be filmed for later broadcase on HBO.
