RIAA Platinum Single Award for The Notorious B.I.G. track "One More Chance". Released on June 2, 1995, it was certified Platinum by the RIAA for one million copies sold on July 31, 1995.* Remember The Notorious B.I.G./Biggie Smalls (1972-1997) with this award.

"One More Chance" is a single off of Biggie's debut album Ready To Die. The most popular mix of the track includes guest appearances from his wife Faith Evans, Mary J. Blige and Puff Daddy. It topped the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts and hit #2 on the Hot 100. The song also charted in the UK and Canada, among other territories.

Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Platinum Single award with Bad Boy Record logos was manufactured in 1998, making it approx. 27 years old. It is presented to Carlton Batts, who mastered the track and numerous other Notorious B.I.G. recordings, along with tracks and albums by Aaliyah, Big Daddy Kane, Eric B. & Rakim, Janet Jackson, and many others. A letter of provenance from the award recipient will be provided with purchase (see image).

This award is in Excellent condition with very, very minor mars on the plexiglass and frame. It is all original with Dejay Products manufacturer stickers.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
