1986 Grammy® Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal Nomination Certificate presented to Prince And The Revolution for "Kiss" from the Parade album. This nomination certificate was personally owned by keyboardist Matt Fink ("Dr. Fink") of Prince And The Revolution.
The track from the Parade album was released as a single and topped the Billboard Hot 100 and charted highly worldwide. The group did end up winning the Grammy Award for the track at the ceremony in 1987.
Dated 1986, the certificate is displayed alongside a Prince Parade album jacket. The certificate has been closely examined by an expert intimately familiar with Grammy Award nomination certificates and memorabilia. It is completely authentic and a copy of the letter signed by Matt Fink himself comes with the piece.
Don't miss this spectacular piece of music history, presented to Prince And The Revolution themselves and personally owned by Matt Fink, who was a member of The Revolution and worked with Prince from 1978 to 1991. Fink is a three-time Grammy Award winner.

Notes on the condition of all vintage awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
Finally, a word on photos: Our photos are zoomable so you can get a very good look. Do let us know if you want photos of any other details on our pieces and we'll be happy to provide.
