RIAA 3x Multi-Platinum Album Award for P.O.D. album Satellite. Released on Sept. 11, 2001, the album was certified 3x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for three million copies sold on Sept. 26, 2002.* 

The group's third studio album was highlighted by singles "Alive", "Youth of the Nation", "Boom", and the title track. "Alive" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance and the track "Portrait" for Best Metal Performance. The album also garnered numerous MTV Award nominations. The album peaked at #6 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. The album also charted highly in Canada, the U.K., Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Detailed Item Description: This very large and impressive RIAA 3x Multi-Platinum Album award was manufactured in 2002, making it approximately 23 years old. It is presented to Marco Soccoli, who was a drummer and Director of Artist Relations for musical instrument/gear manufacturers Vic Firth, D'Addario, Evans, Promark, Sonor, Mapex, and others.

The award is in Excellent condition, with only very, very minor mars on the frame and plexiglass. It is all original with Jewel Box Platinum manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
