RIAA Dual Artist Gold and Platinum Album Award for Mumford & Sons album Sigh No More, and Phoenix album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix.The Mumford & Sons album was released on Feb. 16, 2010 and was certified Platinum by the RIAA on by Feb. 28, 2011 for one million copies sold. The Phoenix album was released on May 26, 2009 and certified Gold by the RIAA for 500,000 sold on Sept. 10, 2010.
Mumford & Sons' debut album produced the hits "Little Lion Man", "The Cave", "Winter Winds", and "Roll Away Your Stone". The album reached #2 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and the UK Albums chart along with airplay and strong sales in many other markets. By 2013 the album was certified 3x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA.
Phoenix's fourth album became their breakthrough in the U.S., producing the hits "1901" and "Lisztomania". The album reached #37 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and charted in many world markets. It also won a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.

Detailed Item Description: This RIAA dual artist Gold and Platinum Albums award celebrated two Glass Note artists, Mumford & Sons and Phoenix. It was manufactured in 2010, making it about 16 years old. It is presented to Vince Richards, who was an on-air personality at numerous rock stations and is now a radio programming executive. A letter of provenance from Richards will be provided with purchase (see image).
This award is in VG to Excellent condition with only very minor mars on the plexiglass and frame. It is all original with Ill Eagle Enterprises manufacturer's sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
