RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum Album award for Michael Bolton album Greatest Hits 1985-1995. Released on Sept. 8, 1995, it was certified 2x Multi-Platinum on Dec. 15, 1995 for two million copies sold.

This greatest hits compilation included Bolton classics such as "How Can We Be Lovers?", "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You", "Time, Love and Tenderness", "Said I Loved You...But I Lied", and covers including "(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay", "Georgia On My Mind", and more.  The album reached #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, #2 in the UK, and charted on many other world charts. By 2000 the album was certified 3x Multi-Platinum for three million copies sold.*

Detailed Item Description: This is a RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum Album award that was manufactured in 1995, making it approx. 30 years old. It is presented to a The Hit Factory®, the studio facility in New York City where the album was compiled, along with its' owner Ed Germano.

This award is in VG condition with minor frame and plexiglass wear. It is all original although the manufacturer label has been torn off. The numbered sticker on the back of the award is an inventory number from the recording studio.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
