RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum Award for Julio Iglesias album 1100 Bel Air PlaceReleased on Aug. 10, 1984, it was certified 2x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for two million copies sold on Oct. 22, 1984.

The album produced the classic track "To All the Girls I've Loved Before", with Willie Nelson, which reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and proved to be a breakthrough for Iglesias in the U.S. "All of You" with Diana Ross was also a hit, peaking at #19. The album itself reached #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and also placed in the top 10 in many other countries worldwide. By 1994 the album was certified 4x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for four million copies sold.*

Detailed Item Description: This RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum award was manufactured in 1984 making it approximately 41 years old. It is presented to The Hit Factory® recording studio and its' owner, the late Ed Germano. Parts of the album were recorded at the studio.

The award is all original and in VG condition, with only minor wear on the plexiglass and the chrome frame. The award has been rebacked so no manufacturer sticker is present but its construction indicates it was made by Creative Glassics.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
