Artemis Records award for the Jeffrey Gaines album Always Be signed by Gaines. Released April 17, 2001, the album included covers of Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" and Ewan MacColl's "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" (made most famous by Roberta Flack) along with numerous original tracks. His version of "In Your Eyes" reached #22 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart.

Detailed Item Description: This award is 24-25 years old and is signed by Jeffrey Gaines in silver marker. It is presented to well-known radio personality and executive Scott Shannon, who was on air at WPLJ, KQLZ Pirate Radio Los Angeles, Z100 New York and many other stations. A letter of provenance from Shannon will be provided with purchase (see image).

This award is in Excellent condition with only very minor mars on the plexiglass and frame. This award is all original with Jewel Box Platinum manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
