RIAA Gold Album Award for Florence + the Machine's album Ceremonials which was released on October 28, 2011. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA on Jan. 23, 2012 for 500,000 copies sold.
Five singles were released from the album including "What the Water Gave Me", "Shake It Out", "No Light, No Light", "Never Let Me Go" and "Spectrum (Say My Name)". The album debuted at #1 on the UK Albums Chart, becoming their second straight #1 album there. It also went to #1 in Australia, Ireland and New Zealand, and reached #6 on the US Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. It also garnered the group two Grammy nominations. Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Platinum award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 2012 making this award approximately nine years old. This award is presented to Republic Records.
This award had been damaged and has been reframed using all its' original internals and overprinted front plexiglass. The damaged frame was replaced with one identical in design to the original. Please note also that the graphic has been repaired in an area immediately to the upper right of Florence Welch's image (see detail photo) and the graphic has a few very minor spots of surface loss along the edges as well. Regardless, this is a very attractive award when displayed on a wall and in addition Florence + the Machine awards are hard to find.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
