RIAA Gold Album Award for DJ Clue Presents Backstage: Music Inspired by the Film, which is the soundtrack to the Chris Fiore 2000 documentary film Backstage. The award is presented to artist Redman. Released on August 29, 2000 the album was certified Gold by the RIAA for 500,000 copies sold on December 4, 2000. 

A raft of artists appeared on the release including Jay-Z, Ja Rule, Memphis Bleek, Amil, Big Tymers, Cam'ron, Capone-N-Noreaga, Christión, Da Brat, Da Ranjahz, Eve, Fabolous, Hot Boys, Juelz Santana, Killer Mike, Lady Luck, Lil' Cease, Mýa, Outkast, Prodigy, Redman, Rell, Slimm Calhoun, T-Boz and The Lox. The album reached #6 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and topped the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The track "Come and Get It" featured Redman and Lady Luck.

Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Gold award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 2000, making it about 22 years old. The award is presented to rapper Redman, who appears on the album.

This award is in Good to VG condition with only some minor mars on the frame, slight degradation around the RIAA serial number sticker, and some minor spotting. It is an all original award with manufacturer sticker from Ill Eagle Enterprises.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
