RIAA Gold Album Award for the self-titled debut album from Crossfade. Released on April 13, 2004, the album was certified Gold by the RIAA for 500,000 copies sold on Feb. 2, 2005.

The group's debut featured the singles "Cold", which hit #2 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and #3 on Mainstream Rock Tracks, "So Far Away", and "Colors". After topping the Billboard Heatseekers chart, the album reached #41 on the Top 200 Albums chart. Tracks were also featured in video games ATV Offroad Fury 3, Gretzky NHL 2005, and MX vs. ATV Unleashed. By later 2005 the release was certified Platinum by the RIAA for one million copies sold. Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Gold Album award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 2005, making it approximately 19 years old. It is presented to John Bongiorno, a music industry talent agent who worked for a variety of booking agencies, including Pinnacle, Paradigm, Windish, Arrival and others. A notarized letter of provenance from the recipient is included with this award (see image).

The award is in VG condition, with only a couple of very minor mars on the frame. The award is all original with Ill Eagle Enterprises manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
