RIAA Platinum Album Award for Charlotte Church self-titled and Dream A Dream albums. Released on Nov. 5, 1999 and Oct. 17, 2000, respectively, the albums were certified Platinum by the RIAA for one million copies sold on Feb. 7 and Dec. 6, 2000, respectively.
The young Welsh singer's second and third albums were a huge hit in her native UK and also successful worldwide. Collections of arias, sacred songs, and traditional pieces along with holiday classics on Dream A Dream, took them to #8 and #30 on the UK the albums hit #30 and , while in the U.S. they reached #40 and #7 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Platinum combo award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured around 2000, making it approx. 23 years old. It is presented to Scott & Todd and WPLJ-FM, referring in part to well-known radio personality and executive Scott Shannon from WPLJ who was given this award. Shannon also worked at Z100 New York and many other stations. A letter of provenance from Shannon will be provided with purchase as seen in images.
The award is in New condition, still sealed in its' original shrink wrap, however it does have one very, very small on the upper left corner of the frame (not visible from the front). It is all original with Ill Eagle Enterprises manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
