RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum Album Award for Bob Carlisle Butterfly Kisses (Shades Of Grace) album in new condition. Released on April 1, 1996, the album was certified 2x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for two million copies sold on July 23, 1997.*
The album featured title hit single "Butterfly Kisses", which won a Grammy Award for Best Country Song and three Dove Awards, including Song of the Year, all in 1997. The track topped the Adult Contemporary charts in the U.S. and Canada, and charted in several other countries as well. The album topped the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.

Detailed Item Description: This RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum Album award was manufactured in 1997, making it approximately 28 years old. It is presented to well-known radio personality and executive Scott Shannon and WPLJ. Shannon was on-air at WPLJ, KQLZ Pirate Radio Los Angeles, Z100 New York and many other stations. A letter of provenance from Shannon will be provided with purchase (see image).
Despite being from the 1990s, the award is all original and in brand new condition, having been never hung on a wall. It includes its' Off The Wall manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
