Detailed Item Description: This Beyoncé RIAA 3x Multi-Platinum award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 2004, making it 17 years old. It is presented to radio personality Dana Cortez, at the time on KKSS radio.
This award is in Good to VG condition. The internals are all in Excellent condition and this is a great looking award hanging on a wall. Its' condition is only listed as Good to VG because it does have some fairly minor chips on the frame covering that have been touched up, mostly on the outer edges*. (See image for example of chipping). It also has tears on the backing paper, which have been taped up to avoid dust intrusion. The award is all original complete with Ill-Eagle Enterprises manufacturer sticker.
*NOTE: If desired, buyer can add $125 to have our MusicGoldmine award restoration experts reframe this award with a new frame in the same style as the original. The original manufacturer sticker existing on the back of the award will be provided as well. To purchase this item with this reframe option simply use the black "Make An Offer" button and add $125 to the listed price for a total of $1,420.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
Finally, a word on photos: Our photos are zoomable so you can get a very good look. Do let us know if you want photos of any other details on our pieces and we'll be happy to provide.
