The track "Dear Mama" topped the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart and hit #9 on the Billboard Hot 100. "So Many Tears" and "Temptations" also charted. The album itself debuted at #1 on both the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and Top R&B/Hip-Hop charts and also rose to top spots in many other world markets. Tupac also picked up a Best Rap Album nomination and "Dear Mama" was nominated for Best Rap Solo Performance at the Grammy awards in 1996 and won Best Rap Album at the 1996 Soul Train Music Awards.

Detailed Item Description: This 2Pac RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum award was manufactured around 1998, making it about 28 years old. It is presented to Gordon Richardson, who worked with 2Pac's team when he was part owner of a concert merchandise and retail licensing company. A letter of provenance from Richardson will be provided with purchase (see image).
This award is in Excellent condition with only very minor mars on the plexiglass and frame. It is all original with Dejay Products manufacturer labels.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear.
