RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum Award for Korn's Follow The Leader album. The group's breakthrough success was released on August 6, 1998. The album was certified 2x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA on March 4, 1999 for two million copies sold. 

This, the group's third album, proved very successful hitting #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, #5 on the UK chart and #1 on the Canadian, Australian and New Zealand charts powered by singles "Got the Life", and "Freak on a Leash". Detailed Item Description: This large and impressive RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 1999 making it approximately 24 years old.

It features album artwork in an impressive and creative cut-out design in a shallow shadow box. Amazing Spider-Man and Spawn artist Todd McFarlane created the artwork along with fellow Image Comics artists Greg Capullo and Brian Haberlin along with designer Brent Ashe. This award is presented to Harvey Leeds, who worked at Live Nation, among other music industry companies and in artist management.

The award is all original with a serial number RIAA hologram seal and unopened backing paper with Ill-Eagle Enterprises manufacturer's sticker. It is in Excellent condition with only a very few minor mars on the frame and plexiglass.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
