RIAA Platinum LP award for Journey's Evolution album, which was released on March 20, 1979. The album was certified Platinum by the RIAA on Oct. 19, 1979 for one million copies sold.
The album, the group's second last to feature both Greg Rolie and Steve Perry on lead vocals, featured the singles "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' ", "City Of The Angels", and "Just The Same Way". The album went to #20 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart in the U.S. By 1991 the album was certified 3x Multi-Platinum. Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA Platinum award that would have been manufactured in 1979 making it approx. 43 years old. The award is presented to radio station WBBQ,
It is in Very Good condition with orginal backing paper (minor tears have been taped to help prevent dust intrusion) and Creative Glassics manufacturer's label. The award has typical wear on the frame and some mars on the plexiglass.
