RIAA Platinum LP award for Joe Walsh's fourth solo album But Seriously Folks..., which was released on May 16, 1978. The album was certified Platinum by the RIAA on Aug. 7, 1978 for one million copies sold. 

The album featured "Life's Been Good", which has become one of Walsh's signature songs and biggest solo hit, reaching #12 on the Billboard Hot 100. It powered the album to #8 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. The album also featured many of Walsh's future Eagles bandmates, including Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Don Felder and Timothy B. Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA Platinum award that would have been manufactured in 1978. This makes it 44 years old. The award is presented to Jody Boyer, who sang backing vocals on this album, along with several other Joe Walsh albums.

This award is in VG condition, with some typical scratches and mars on the frame. The award has been rebacked but all other components are original.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia.
