RIAA Gold Album Award for Stevie B album Love & Emotion signed on its' matte by Stevie B. Released on July 3, 1990, the album went Gold for 500,000 copies sold on Jan. 8, 1991, which this award celebrates.
Stevie B's third studio album featured the hit "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)", which became Stevie B's sole #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Other singles from the album included the title track, which reached #15 on the Hot 100, and "I'll Be by Your Side". Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Gold album award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured sometime in 1991-2 making it approximately 33 years old. It is presented to a former radio program director. Their name has been obscured only in the photos for privacy. A letter of provenance from the recipient will be provided with purchase. Provenance letter can be seen in images with executive's name obscured for privacy. Item buyer will receive a non-obscured copy of the letter.
This award is all original and in VG condition. This award has of course been rebacked due to it being signed on the matte.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
