RIAA 9x Multi-Platinum Album award for Usher album Confessions, which was released on Mar. 23, 2004. The album was certified 9x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for nine million copies sold on May 16, 2005. 

Hit tracks from the album included the #1 Billboard Hot 100 hit "Yeah!" which spent 12 weeks in the top spot, along with "Burn", "Confessions Part II", "My Boo", and "Caught Up".  The album itself topped the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, along with charts in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK and it also charted highly on many other markets. Detailed Item Description: This is a RIAA 9x Multi-Platinum award that would have been manufactured in 2005, making it about 19 years old. It is presented to Bruce Gillmer (misspelled as Gilmer), an executive at MTV, VH-1 and other music companies. 

The award is in VG to Excellent condition, with only a couple of minor mars on the frame and the award has its' original Off The Wall manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
