Sting Fields Of Gold: The Best of Sting 1984-94 UK Label award. Released on Sept. 17, 1991, the album sold extremely well worldwide including in the U.K., the latter of which this label award celebrates.
The album features Sting classics from his albums The Dream of the Blue Turtles, ...Nothing Like the Sun, The Soul Cages, and Ten Summoner's Tales. Tracks include "Fields Of Gold", "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You", "All This Time", "Englishman In New York" and many other hits. The release went to #2 on the U.K. Top Albums and #7 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums charts. It eventually went 3x Platinum as certified by the BPI in the U.K. and RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum in the U.S.

Detailed Item Description: This is a U.K. A&M Records "double platinum" award that was manufactured in 1995 making it 27 years old. It is presented to Mark Anderson, a UK music industry executive.
This award is in VG to Excellent condition, with only very minor mars on the metal frame and plexiglass. It has all original components including a manufacturer's sticker from Century Displays, who also make BPI awards (Note: This is not a BPI award).

Notes on the condition of all vintage record awards: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
