RIAA Multi-Platinum double album award for Queen's albums Classic Queen and Greatest Hits. The former was released on Feb. 27, 1992 and certified 2x Multi-Platinum for 2 million sold by the RIAA on December 14, 1993, the latter (often referred to as Red Greatest Hits) was released on Sept. 15, 1992 and was certified at 1 million copies sold.

The two albums included a large collection of the group's hits from "Bohemian Rhapsody" to "Another One Bites the Dust". The two albums achieved high chart positions around the world. In terms of sales, by late 2002 Classic Queen had been certified 3x Multi-Platinum. See image above for the RIAA sales certification data of this album*.

Detailed Item Description: This unusual dual RIAA Multi-Platinum award is a "R hologram" award made in 1993 making it 28 years old. It is presented to radio station WVKZ. 

This award is in Very Good to Excellent condition with only a very few minor mars on the frame and plexiglass.  The backing paper is also original with Creative Glassics manufacturer's sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
