RIAA Gold album award for Poison album Best Of: 20 Years Of Rock, which was released on April 3, 2006. It was certified Gold by the RIAA on Oct. 10, 2006 for 500,000 copies sold.
This was the group's greatest hits album celebrating their 20th anniversary. It featured all their top tracks such as "Nothin' but a Good Time", "Talk Dirty to Me”, “Look What the Cat Dragged In", "Unskinny Bop", "Every Rose Has Its Thorn", "Fallen Angel", and more. The album peaked at #17 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. It also did well in Canada and the UK.

Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA Gold award that would have been manufactured in 2006, which makes it approx. 18 years old. This award is presented to a former marketing and promotion executive who worked at EMI Capitol Records. Their name has been obscured in the photos only for privacy. A letter of provenance from the recipient will be provided with purchase. Provenance letter can be seen in images with executive's name obscured for privacy. Item buyer will receive a non-obscured copy of the letter.
This award is in Excellent condition with only very minor frame wear and mars on the plexiglass. It is complete with its' original Jewel Box Platinum manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
