RIAA 3x Multi-Platinum Digital Single Award for Lady Gaga track "Born This Way". Released on February 11, 2011, the track was certified 3x Multi-Platinum on Feb. 29, 2016 by the RIAA for three million copies digitally sold.
The single became Gaga's third to go to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and she performed the song at the Grammy awards in 2011. The track broke the record at the time for the fastest-selling song in iTunes history, with over a million sold in five days. By 2017, it was certified at 6x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for six million digital copies sold.

Detailed Item Description: This RIAA 3x Multi-Platinum Digital Single award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 2016 making it approximately seven years old. This award is presented to Germano Studios in New York City, at which the track was in part recorded.
It is all original with unopened backing paper and while the manufacturer sticker is missing, the size, shape and location of the torn off spot would indicate it was most likely made by Ill Eagle Enterprises. This award is in VG to Excellent condition, with only minor blemishes on the frame.

These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
