RIAA Gold Single Award for 98 Degrees track "Invisible Man". The track was released on June 24, 1997. The track was certified Gold by the RIAA later than year on Oct. 22 for 500,000 copies sold.
The group's debut and breakthrough single, "Invisible Man" reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also charted in Canada, New Zealand and the UK. Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Gold Single award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 1998, making it approximately 26 years old. It is presented to a former radio program director. Their name has been obscured only in the photos for privacy. A letter of provenance from the recipient will be provided with purchase. Provenance letter can be seen in images with executive's name obscured for privacy. Item buyer will receive a non-obscured copy of the letter.
The award is in VG to Excellent condition with only a very few minor mars on the frame. It is all original with unopened backing paper with Ill Eagle manufacturer's sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
