RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum Album award for Stevie Wonder album In Square Circle presented to Stevie Wonder. The album was released on Sept. 13, 1985 and was certified 2x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA on Dec. 4, 1985 for two million copies sold.

The album, Wonder's 20th, produced the Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit "Part-Time Lover", along with "Go Home" (#10), "Overjoyed" (#24), and "Land of La La" (#86). The album landed 25-time Grammy winner Wonder yet another award, this time for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. The album peaked at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and in the UK, and charted in many other world music markets. Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum Album award that would have been manufactured sometime after 1998, making it around 25 years old. It is presented to Stevie Wonder himself.

The award is in VG condition with only a couple of minor mars on the frame. It has its' original backing paper with Jewel Box Platinum manufacturer label.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
