RIAA 10x Multi-Platinum Award for Celine Dion's Falling Into You album. Celine's fourth album, it was released Mar. 2, 1996 and certified 10x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA (Diamond) for 10 million copies sold on Dec. 9, 1997.

A smash success, it featured the hits "Because You Loved Me" which topped the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and also #1 in Canada and Australia, "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" (#2 in U.S., #1 in Canada), and a remake of Eric Carmen's "All by Myself", (#4 in U.S., top 10 in many world markets). The album won many awards, including Grammy awards for Album of the Year and Best Pop Album. The album went to #1 around the world. Detailed Item Description: This large and impressive RIAA 10x Multi-Platinum award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 1997 making it approximately 25 years old. This award is presented to Paul Cannon, a radio industry executive who worked at WMAS at the time.

The award is all original with Ill-Eagle manufacturer's sticker on the backing paper. It is overall is in Very Good condition but does have some minor spotting near the bottom of the award, along with a mar or two on the frame and some discoloration of the backing paper.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
