The album features remixes of tracks from Madonna's first three albums—1983's Madonna, 1984's Like a Virgin and 1986's True Blue. It also contains one new track, "Spotlight", which reached #32 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album peaked at #14 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart and reached the top ten of the album charts of France, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, the UK, while also charting in many other countries.

Detailed Item Description: This is a RIAA Platinum Album award that would have been manufactured in 1988, making it approx. 37 years old. It is presented to Edward Germano, the owner (since 1975) of The Hit Factory®, the recording studio in New York City where portions of the album were recorded.
This award is in VG condition with minor mars on the frame and on the plexiglass. The record label on this disc is of somewhat poor print quality, but is the original. The award has its original backing board with Creative Glassics manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
