Epic Records Award for Europe album The Final Countdown. The group's third album became a breakthrough, especially in the U.S. It was released on May 30, 1986 and this record label award celebrates it reaching the one million copies sold.
Hits from the album included the title track (which reached #1 in many countries worldwide, and #8 on the Billboard Hot 100), "Love Chaser", "Rock the Night", "Carrie", and "Cherokee." The album itself also peaked at #8 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, and charted worldwide. The album has been certified 3x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA (note that this is not an RIAA award).

Detailed Item Description: This record label award sporting the group's home country colors of Sweden would have been manufactured around 1986 making it approximately 38 years old. The award is presented to Kal Rudman of FMQB (Friday Morning Quarterback), a radio airplay promoter.
It is in VG to Excellent condition with only very minor mars on the frame and plexiglass. It is all original although the manufacturer sticker has fallen off, however there is adhesive residue in the size, shape, and location of a Creative Glassics manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage record awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
