RIAA Platinum Album Award for Daughtry album Leave This Town. Released on July 14, 2009, the album was by Feb. 18, 2010 certified Platinum by the RIAA for one million copies sold.
The second studio album from Daughtry, the American Idol season 5 finalist featured the hit "No Surprise", which became the fourth #1 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart and which also hit #15 on the Hot 100. Other tracks released as singles included "Life After You" and "September". The album reached #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, #2 in Canada and sold well in many other world markets as well. Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Platinum award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 2010, making it about 13 years old. It is presented to Pete Ganbarg, who has held various executive roles in the music industry including President of A&R at Atlantic Records and President of ATCO Records, among others.
This award is in VG to Excellent condition with only very minor mars on the frame. The award is all original complete with Ill-Eagle Enterprises manufacturer sticker.

These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
