RIAA Gold Album Award for Blessid Union Of Souls album Home. Released on March 21, 1995 it was certified Gold by the RIAA for 500,000 copies sold later that year on Dec. 1.
The group had a hit with "I Believe" from this, their debut album. The track reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also went into the top 20 in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. Second single "All Along" reached #70 on the Hot 100. After topping the Billboard Heatseekers chart, the album reached #78 on the Top 200 Albums chart. Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Gold Album award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 1995, making it approx. 29 years old. It is presented to a former radio program director. Their name has been obscured only in the photos for privacy. A letter of provenance from the recipient will be provided with purchase. Provenance letter can be seen in images with executive's name obscured for privacy. Item buyer will receive a non-obscured copy of the letter.
This award is in VG condition with minor mars on the plexiglass and frame. It is all original with unopened backing paper and a Ill Eagle manufacturer sticker.

These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear.
