Artist Of The Month: Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin’s history in May is headlined by their 1973 and 1975 U.S. and U.K. tours, both of which featured record-breaking stadium shows. They kicked off their record-breaking North American tour on May 4, 1973 in Atlanta, and the fourth was definitely with them. On May 5 they played to 56,800 fans at Tampa Stadium in Florida, breaking The Beatles 1965 attendance record for a single-artist concert. They also filmed five nights of sold-out shows at Earl's Court in London from May 17-25, which were assembled to become the iconic Led Zeppelin: Live At Earl's Court 1975 video release.
