RIAA Multi-Platinum Single Award for Tag Team track "Whoomp! (There It Is)". Released on July 20, 1993, by Feb. 24. 1994 the track was certified 4x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA.*

This popular track reached #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, #2 on the Hot 100 tally and #4 on the Hot Rap Singles charts. It also hit the top ten in several other world music markets. Tag Team, a duo composed of Cecil "DC the Brain Supreme" Glenn and Steve "Rolln" Gibson, have kept the track alive over the years with it becoming a staple at sports events and film and TV placements. It was most recently featured in Geico insurance commercials in the U.S.

Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Multi-Platinum Single award is a first presentation award that was manufactured around 1998, making it approx. 24 years old. It is presented to promotion executive Rick Aaron III.

This award is in VG condition with some mars and wear on the frame and mars on the plexiglass. The award is complete with original Jewel Box Platinum manufacturer sticker.
