RIAA Platinum LP award for the Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet presented to Mick Jagger. This album was released on Nov. 18, 1968. While quickly going Gold by Dec. 23, 1968, the release interestingly was not certified Platinum by the RIAA until Oct. 20, 1989 for one million copies sold. This is likely because the label had not filed the paperwork to support that level of sales with the RIAA until that time.
The album is notable in that it contained classic Stones hits including "Sympathy For The Devil" and "Street Fighting Man". It went to #3 on the UK Top Albums chart and #5 on the U.S. Billboard Top LPs chart. See image above for the RIAA sales certifications of this album*.

Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA Platinum award that would have been manufactured in 1990 making it approx. 31 years old. It is presented to legendary Stones front man Mick Jagger.
This award is in VG to Excellent condition, with only a very minor mar or two on the frame. It has its original back with Creative Glassics manufacturer sticker.

These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear.
