RIAA 4x Multi-Platinum Album Award for Hanson album Middle Of Nowhere. The album was released on May 6, 1997 and later that year, on Dec. 23, was certified 4x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA.

The debut album from the three brothers from Oklahoma, it contained the hit "MMMBop", which reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, also topping the charts in 11 other countries. Other singles included "Where's the Love", "I Will Come to You", "Weird", and "Thinking of You". The album peaked at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and sold well in many other world markets. Detailed Item Description: This RIAA 4x Multi-Platinum award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in early 1998 making it 25 years old. It is presented to Jeff McClusky of McClusky & Associates, a long time independent record promoter who worked with many record labels.

This award is in VG to Excellent condition with only minor mars on the plexiglass and frame. It is all original with unopened backing paper and Ill Eagle Enterprises manufacturer's sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
