RIAA Platinum LP award for Fleetwood Mac's Tango In The Night album. This album was released on April 14, 1987 and was certified Platinum for 1 million sold on July 1, 1987. 

The album was the last of the classic Fleetwood Mac line up since Lindsay Buckingham left the group in late 1987. It featured four Billboard Hot 100 hits: "Little Lies" which hit #4, "Big Love" which went to #5, "Everywhere" which rose to #14, and "Seven Wonders" which rose as high as #19. Detailed Item Description: 

This is a first presentation RIAA Platinum award made in 1987 making it approximately 33 years old. It is presented to Fleetwood Mac's publicist Mitchell Schneider, who has also worked with Aerosmith, David Bowie, Heart, Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Petty and many other artists.

The award is in Excellent condition with only minor blemishes on its frame and plexiglas. It also has its original backing paper with Fitzgerald Hartley manufacturer's sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
