CRIA Gold Single Award for Elton John's hit "Island Girl" presented to Elton John. Released in 1975, it was certified Gold by the CRIA (Canadian Recording Industry Association) on March 1, 1976.

From Sir Elton's Rock Of The Westies album, "Island Girl" hit #4 on the Canadian chart, #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S., #14 in the UK and it also charted in other countries in 1975. A Gold single in Canada represented 75,000 copies sold at the time (in a country of then 23 million people). The track went Platinum in the U.S.

Detailed Item Description: This is a CRIA Gold Single award was manufactured in 1976 and is dated 1975 on the plaque making it approx. 46 years old. The award is presented to Elton John.

This award is in VG to Excellent condition with only minor scratches on its metal frame.
