Capitol Records for Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band album Stranger In Town. Seger's tenth album was released on May 5, 1978 following up from 1976's successful Night Moves. It featured many hits which garnered significant rock/AOR radio airplay including "Old Time Rock And Roll", "Hollywood Nights", "Still The Same", "Feel Like A Number" and "We've Got Tonite". The album peaked at #8 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and #12 in Canada. By 2008 the album was certified 6x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA. (Note that this is not a RIAA award).
It is presented to radio and record executive Lee Abrams, who worked in radio and as a consultant to major record labels and industry companies including Capitol Records, Island Records, XM Radio, MTV and others from the 70s into the 2000s. A notarized letter of provenance from Abrams is included with this award (see image).
