RIAA Platinum Album and Video Award for Charlotte Church album Voice Of An Angel and concert video. Released on Mar. 16 and June 1, 1999, respectively, the album was certified Platinum by the RIAA for one million copies sold on Nov. 2, 1999 and the video Gold for 50,000 copies sold on Oct. 27.
The then 12-year old singer's debut album was a huge hit in her native UK and also successful worldwide. It is a collection of arias, sacred songs, and traditional pieces and in the UK the album hit #4, while in the U.S. it reached #1 on the Billboard Top Classical Albums chart and #28 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums tally. Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Platinum combo award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured around 2000 making it approx. 23 years old. It is presented to well-known radio personality and executive Scott Shannon from WPLJ, who also worked at Z100 New York and many other stations. A letter of provenance from Shannon will be provided with purchase as seen in images.
The award is in New condition, still sealed in its' original shrink wrap. It is all original with Ill Eagle Enterprises manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
